MAKEUP ME Before makeup application, apply your normal skincare regimen. When applying makeup, I highly suggest ensuring you are aware of your skin type. The products you use as well as your routine should be tailored to your skin care regime as well as your skin type and its characteristics. It took me a long time to figure out what products work best for me. For example, I have oily skin and perspiration. The makeup I use especially foundation should control the oil and minimize perspiration for longer wear and for my makeup to be flawless and seamless. After tons of research and trying a variety of products and brands I found what works and I’m sure it’s subject to change as time goes by. I purchase my makeup products from ultra, occasionally from a local drug store, and mac. Smokey Eye Full Glam This full glam below was created to match my Old Hollywood theme Birthday Shoot. However it is very universal. My brows are defined. This eye makeup was created with a variety of dark colors. I first applied and blended a transition color. I then used a dark almost black color and tapped it on my eyelid. After-which I added the color of my choice in this case a dark grey at the outer part of my eyelids. The highlight of my face act as a accent and emphasis for the areas where the light hits. Those areas are my forehead, my under eye, below my cheeks, my chin, and the tip of my nose. The contour adds definition and shaping to my nose, upper forehead, chin, and cheeks. I used a nude lipstick to tone down the entire look. PS: having dark eyelids and dark lips contradicts your entire makeup. Soft Glam This soft glam below can be worn for any occasion whether it be formal or not. My brows are very natural. This eye makeup was created with a blend of shadows. I used the cut crease method by applying and blending a transition color first. I then added the color I wanted at the outer part of my crease. I then used consealer to cut the crease. I then selected the color of my choice and applied it directly over the concealer. The highlight of my face act as a accent and emphasis for the areas where the light hits. Those areas are my forehead, my under eye, below my cheeks, my chin, and the tip of my nose. The contour adds definition and shaping to my nose, upper forehead, chin, and cheeks. My lipstick is a flirty pink shade. It adds some warmth to the entire makeup artistry. When I say #FlatterYourself I‘m talking about a more indirect definition. Though it might take you some time to know what flatters your body, when you figure it out filter your wardrobe to match. ”Out with the OLD, in with the NEW.” If you are petite and curvey like myself, go for a dress that adds definition to your waist and embrace your curves. If you are of slender curves avoid clothing that hugs your body. Go for something that flairs.
