As you may or may not know. My husband and I celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary and 8 year relationship. We wanted to have a #weekendgetaway or shall I say a #daycation. Sometimes its good to take a step back from all the craziness and take a day or two off. As a mom with a 1 year old and I’m sure for other moms too, it hard to plan trips that involves them. On the other hand, you don't want to leave them behind. Luckily we have a really supportive family that steps in.

So here we are on #baecation . Often when we think about #vacation we think #traveling far. It is not about where you go or what you do it is about the experiences. It is about time spent. Quality time that it. We snap pictures and I am guilty of this too. But are there real memories behind those pictures? After all that is the purpose of pictures.

As I get older I realize how important it is to sieze the moment. That's what I did this weekend. At times outside things such as social media can distract us from personal relationships and prevent us from spending precious time with our loved ones. Add some color to your personal life. Enjoy it every step of the way. Don’t worry about being picture perfect.

Enough of that, though we enjoyed our time away we missed having baby girl around sI we were really excited to get back home to her. I think this trip taught us the importance of family time.
