Thankful
This year I feel extremely blessed. I am Thankful for health, strength, my growing family, and friends. There is a lot to be thankful for.
Reflection
A couple years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter. I opened up to you guys about having hyperthyroidism. For those of you who don’t know what that is. "Hyperthyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid gland is overactive and makes excessive amounts of thyroid hormone. The thyroid gland is an organ located in the front of your neck and releases hormones that control your metabolism (the way your body uses energy), breathing, heart rate, nervous system, weight, body temperature, and many other functions in the body."
Your thyroid levels decreases your chance of conceiving. Once levels are controlled with medication or other treatment levels generally return to normal and pregnancy is achieved more easily.
My thyroid levels were difficult to control and showed very little improvement. It put a damper on my goal of starting a family and it was something I took out of my head at least for a few years. I‘ve been blessed and you guys saw me carry and welcome a beautiful baby girl naturally in April of 2018. It was not until I was pregnant and had my daughter that my levels become somewhat normal.
Birthday Gift
Well I’m hear to tell you that we’ve been extremely blessed and we are expecting our second child. Though this came at a very difficult time having to deal with a global pandemic, I can’t help but be grateful for this blessing. I could not have asked for a better birthday gift. Did I mention that my thyroid levels are normal and I have been off all thyroid medication in over 2 years? Blessings on top of blessings!
My family is definitely complete because we are expecting a boy. Yes I said it, It’s a boy. Hubby finally has his mini me. Baby girl has a lifelong playmate and I have my little prince. We got our pair. We are all patiently waiting on the arrival of baby boy due in October.
Our Lucky Number
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. 4 is our lucky number. My husband and I were both born on the 4th day of our birthday months. We met on the 4th month (April). Our wedding anniversary is in April and we welcomed our firstborn in April as well. Now we seal the deal and we are a family of 4.
Big Sister Mode
Our daughter more than anything is super excited to be a big sister. She is the sweetest and most loving person I’ve ever come across. I know she will be a great sister and she will protect her little brother.
Welcoming Baby Boy
Now that the cat's out the bag and I’ve shared this news with you guys, join us in welcoming our bundle of Joy. Due to covid we opted out of having a baby shower. But I really enjoyed taking these images of my family and I.
