34 and Slaying More

34 looks good on me.

There’s something about your birthday that makes you pause and really look at the woman staring back at you. Not just the woman in the mirror, but the woman behind the mirror—the woman who has grown, evolved, overcome, learned, loved, built, and continued to show up.

This year, I’m not just celebrating another birthday.

I’m celebrating the woman I’ve become.

And if you know me, you already know I couldn’t step into 34 without a little Bri Slay.

What Does “Bri Slay” Mean?

For me, Bri Slay is more than a cute play on my name.

It’s a mindset.

It’s walking into a room knowing you belong there. It’s putting on the outfit, stepping into the heels, fixing your crown, and remembering that confidence will always be your best accessory.

But the real slay isn't always what people see.

Sometimes the biggest slay is betting on yourself.

Pouring into yourself.

Trying something new.

Giving yourself permission to evolve.

Being proud of how far you've come while still being excited about where you're going.

That’s the Bri Slay.

34, But Make It Fashion

For my birthday shoot, I wanted the look to represent exactly where I am in this season of life.

Black sequins vest, black structured blazer, black cargo pants, black pumps, and complementary accessories are Bold, Feminine, Edgy, Classic.

Basically… business meets birthday.

Because at 34, I’m realizing that style isn't about following every trend. It's about knowing who you are and allowing your clothes to tell the story.

And this look said everything I wanted it to say:

I’m here. I’m confident. I’m evolving. And I’m not asking for permission to shine.

The Woman Behind the Slay

Every year has given me something that the previous one couldn't: Wisdom, Perspective, Lessons, Memories, People, Experiences, and a deeper understanding of who I am.

I've learned that you don't have to have everything figured out to be proud of yourself.

You don't have to be perfect to be powerful.

And you definitely don't have to shrink yourself to make other people comfortable.

There is beauty in becoming.

Chapter 34

Here's to being the girl who loves to get dressed up and slay.

I'm not trying to become someone else.

I'm becoming more of me.

And baby…

Bri Slay is just getting started. 🖤✨
